A bet against the economy before the world collapses into recession.
Filmed from the perspective of three groups of characters, this movie is a brain breaker, but a good one. Watching it several times has you understand concepts best, having you pick up things you missed in the previous viewings. The cast of actors is insane: Christian Bale, Brad Pitt, Steve Carrell, Ryan Gosling… even Margot Robbie, in a tub. Their acting is convincing and different from what you would suspect they’d play in a movie.
The storytelling, narration, and sense of mature humor makes tough economic concepts easier to understand. Each character is explored in-depth as well and the fourth wall being broken at times creates a new layer of understanding and humor.
Great movie. Period.
